Several cities and municipalities are warning of a security breach at software supplier Vanden Broele, whose digital signing tool eSignFlow is used by more than 100 local authorities, VRT NWS reports. Het Nieuwsblad puts the figure at around 150 authorities, which may be affected anywhere from very lightly to very severely.

Limburg municipalities warn that residents may receive a fake GAS fine from the genuine email address of a staff member. Oostkamp took the platform offline and is asking citizens to be extra alert to suspicious emails.

It confirms a weakness that De Tijd exposed last week: auditors found hundreds of serious security problems at dozens of Flemish cities and municipalities, and six in ten could not present a plan to keep their services running after a cyber incident. Separately, hackers claim to have stolen 3.9 gigabytes of data from AB InBev; they are now demanding 10 million dollars in bitcoin, Het Nieuwsblad reports. The brewer is not commenting.
