Apple on Monday unveiled a refreshed iPad mini with an 8.5-inch OLED display, an A20 Pro chip and IP67 water and dust resistance, MacRumors reports. In the US it starts at 699 dollars, after the second price increase this year. Pre-orders open on 28 October, with sales starting on 6 November.

Marketing chief Greg Joswiak promised an exciting week. According to Macworld, Apple is holding a 'Pro and Tell' event for press and creators in Los Angeles on Wednesday 28 October, rather than a classic keynote. A 14-inch MacBook Pro and an iMac with an M6 chip are expected, as well as MacBook Pros with an OLED touchscreen.

Not everything is going smoothly. Het Nieuwsblad reports growing complaints about cracks along the fold of the foldable iPhone Duo; Apple acknowledges a problem with a small number of devices.
