Three central banks meet this week. The ECB, the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan are expected to leave interest rates unchanged, but high oil prices are fuelling inflation concerns, according to the VEB's markets liveblog. De Tijd's week-ahead preview asks whether the Fed and the ECB will raise rates again.

Earnings season is also peaking: Alphabet, Amazon and Microsoft report as major hyperscalers, while in Brussels attention on Thursday turns to AB InBev and Melexis, De Tijd writes. Several countries also publish growth and inflation figures.

Mind the clock: because of the switch to winter time, Wall Street opens an hour earlier for Europeans this week, at 14.30 Belgian time.
