French banking group Crédit Agricole is moving into the Belgian savings market, De Tijd and HLN report. That adds a heavyweight to a market where banks are already luring customers with perks for young people and free stock trades, as De Tijd described last week.
Also important for savers: from December the accounts register at the National Bank will also include the balance of every securities account, De Tijd writes, giving the tax authorities a better view of investments, crypto included.
