Belgian trio launches ESAI to give companies a grip on their AI spending
Hosting firm Combell, consultancy Delaware and research centre imec are targeting businesses alarmed by their rising AI bills.
Three Belgian tech players, Combell, Delaware and imec, are jointly bringing an offering to market under the name ESAI. According to De Tijd, it is meant to help companies keep better control over their use of AI, in a European cloud. De Standaard writes that the tool is mainly intended to cut the AI bill: companies hope for productivity gains, but costs keep climbing, with the article citing an increase of 40 percent a month.
That AI is becoming established in Belgian companies is shown by a European survey of 2,400 executives commissioned by Inetum, reported by Business AM. Some 68 percent of Belgian managers say AI is part of their operations, and three in four see their productivity rise. Almost half do expect job losses in their own sector, and 18 percent use software their company has not officially approved.
